Last Saturday, the day before I did City2Surf, I went bushwalking at the Wild Dogs Mountains which is situated within the Blue Mountains National Park. Our party of seven had to drive through the Megalong Valley to get to the start point. Megalong Valley had many farmsteads around and it was such a beautiful and peaceful place with cows grazing on the pastures. There were also many kangaroos standing around – I tried to take a picture of those standing near where we parked our vehicles but they hopped away just as I was clicking the shutter! Oh well! Nonetheless I was pretty stoked to see these quintessentially Aussie residents. I always enjoy a day out to the mountains – it feels like I’ve gone on a one-day holiday every time just to soak up all the soulful energy of the mountains.
