Q10. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
I would have liked to be taught more about personal finance and investment. But I’m grateful and thankful to my parents for all they have done for me and my sister. We had a normal middle-class upbringing in Singapore. In the 80s and 90s, my parents brought us travelling every year – a luxury that not all families in Singapore get to enjoy even today even as Singaporeans have become more affluent in general. We always had enough to eat and had toys to play with. We got to go to university. Because of the education my sister and I had, we are able to earn a living and support ourselves.
Thank you mum and dad!
